9. You Are Very Foolish

One day after lunch, the guard on watch shouted an order: "Exercise!" I got up from the floor where I sat to walk around. Just as I walked back and forth a few time, all of a sudden there was one sentence which fell upon me: "You are very foolish!" "What? Am I foolish?" I thought that everyone said that I was smart, and I had been a college student sponsored by the government. This was God Who said that I was foolish. I could not help but worry: "What could I do?" "Proverbs," immediately the Holy Spirit replied. "Proverbs" was a good medicine given to me directly from God, Who could heal my foolishness. Though I had some worldly wisdom, as a matter of fact it was truly foolishness. Many of the young, like me, were so foolish and simple that we were led astray by sins, which would lead to the deep pit of darkness. Proverbs, God's Word showed the true light and saved me from the wrong path. Before that day, I like Proverbs the least, because I felt it incoherent, and I could not find the main threads. Later, the more I read; the more I treasured it. Every sentence of it was the living water. The Lord's Word is indeed the true wisdom. Whoever neglects it will fall into the snare of sins. Even if one manages to escape this snare of sins, he would have wasted too much time.
