With Gratitude To God's Grace

3. Enlarge Our Boundary By Trouble

One day there was a meeting of a few believers in downtown Shanghai.  Sister Zhang and I decided to take a bus to go to the house where the meeting was to be held.  We waited for the bus for a very long time, but when it finally arrived, it was too crowded to get on.  We waited until another bus came but it drove by swiftly without stopping.  We were very anxious because by this time it was well past the meeting time.  Finally we made our way there.  The sister who provided her house for the meeting told us: ”Luckily, you have come late.  I have asked all of the people to go home because there is a group of people at the home of a brother plotting against both of you.”  Amazingly, the youngest daughter of that brother had anxiously come to this sister and said: ”There are many people at my house now.  They want to print flyers to assault two persons called ‘Old Sister and Young Sister,’” (nicknames of Sister Zhang and myself). As a result, by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we decided to temporarily stop the Bible study at that meeting place and move to another sister’s house in the suburbs.  It was there we learned that there were many brothers and sisters who loved the Lord and had joined together to serve Him in the villages in Jinan, in the north of China.  The Holy Spirit  led us there and we had wonderful fellowship with them.  In our troubles, the Lord enlarged our boundary of service.
