1. Preach From Place To Place

The Lord answered the prayer of the believers so that gradually the trend of the times turned towards our favor.  I went back to Shanghai by myself and reported to the police station in order to settle my household registration.  Then I returned to Guangzhou and served the Lord with Sister Zhang.  We lived at Sister Lee’s house and studied the Bible and prayed together every morning.  Sometimes we would go to Sister Tan’s house to lead a meeting. The Lord’s Word worked by itself.  After we left Guangzhou two of the believers continued to study the Bible and pray according to the Comparative Method of Bible Study.  One day, to our amazement, they were simultaneously  moved by the Holy Spirit when they read Joshua 18:3, “How long will you wait  before you begin to take possession of the land?”  Sister Lee then went to Shenzhen and started the work of a house church.  Sister Tan and her husband went back to their hometown Hunan and led many relatives and friends to Jesus.  At first, Sister Zhang and I felt that our work in Guangzhou was fruitless.  Afterward we understood perfectly that nothing is ever fruitless if we lead people to read the Bible, seek and pray, and put the Word into practice.  It is just as the Lord said to the disciples:  “...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  During that period of time, two of us followed the guidance of the Holy Spirit to travel back and forth to preach at Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Jinan, Kunming, Beijing, Wenzhou and the suburbs.
