Chapter

Go to Hong Kong
1. The White Cloud
Is Under My Feet Although I was a failure and full of
weakness, God in His mercy did not let me drop dead in the desert. When the time came, he led me to leave Shanghai.
Flying from Shanghai to Guangzhou, I sat in the airplane and
through the window saw white clouds under my feet.
My ears rang with the roaring voice of the cadre in the labor camp:
“Go to your God with your stubborn brain!
Fancy you dreamed of flying overseas.”
They had read my diary in which I had recorded a dream that I flew
abroad. I also remembered
that many people in the labor camp had advised me to get married and
settle down. They had even
said, ”It is just as impossible that the sun will rise from the West as
that you will go abroad!” Is
there anything too hard for God? My
heart rejoiced in the Lord and was full of gratitude and praise. |
