Appendix A: Six Cities of Refuge and Forty-Two Towns for the Levites Origins:
The Lord's servant John Sung had been guided for more than ten years by the Holy Spirit to run about every place domestically and internationally to exalt the cross and preach the gospel. He had led thousands and thousands to turn to the Lord. However, it was just as his works reached a spectacular scale, that due to illness God forced him to retreat to a mountain. He bled and pus came out, but even while in extreme pain, he still grasped the word of God and prayed watchfully for the churches day and night. "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." God revealed this to him. At the end of the time, Six cities of Refuge and forty-two towns for the Levites will be set up. It also means six Arabian Deserts, the Home of Grace, and forty-two Antioch. They are to be the desert for God's workers to be sent out all over the world to work for the Lord. God will choose and call and train a large number of workers who are after His heart. (Regardless of age or education so long as one is sure of God's calling.) It is by praying in the Spirit and reading the Bible in the Spirit that one will know deeply the will of God and preach the gospel to the ends of the earth by the mighty power of God. God is the
Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. After the Lord's servant
passed away, this commission underwent various difficulties and hardships
and we went through long-term tempering. However, the Spirit that had
moved His servant was also moving many bodies in the Lord to work together
in order to accomplish the work entrusted by the Lord. It does not mean that today we should return to the times of the Old Testament to again set up Refuge of Old Testament. Rather, it is to follow the revelation of the Lord according to the meaning of Biblical refuge, which will prepare an Arabian desert in the New Testament for all workers of God. This will also preserve the workers lest they are swallowed by the Red Dragon. It is likened unto Mount Horeb where Elijah heard the gentle whisper to work for the Lord. It is also as what Paul said: "…the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ" (Galatians 1:11-12). These are places for workers to retreat and for those who are just called by God to be trained. |
