5. Overcome and Receive Favor By Trusting In The Lord In His
time, the Lord led Sister Zhang to return to Mount Fragrance in Beijing to
join with others in Christ to serve the Lord.
I stayed in Shanghai, but from time to time I would go to Beijing
for a while. It was only by
the Lord’s grace and protection that we could study the Bible and pray
on Mount Fragrance. After we
returned from exile, it was necessary to guard against enemies around us
as we served the Lord day and night in awe.
Due to the regime of anti-Christ, those who did not associate with
the Three-Self organization were regarded as illegal.
We could be arrested at any time. What was
more dreadful, however, was the invisible evil one, who made use of our
flesh to cause disturbances and deterioration among us.
I was pursued closely by a power of jealousy and self-pity.
The devil shot darting arrows at me unceasingly, so that I felt God
was not kind to me. I thought people looked down on me or they did not like me.
I felt that there was no place for me to stay in the House of God.
Worst of all, the environment did not allow me to have a peace of
mind as we were all packed into a few rooms.
It was so suffocating that I had to “flee to the desert” to
take refuge in the bosom of the Lord.
In my weakness and worry, I poured out my heart to the Lord in the
morning or afternoon. I felt
that there was no hope for my future and I cried before the Lord.
Only then was the bondage of my heart gone and I was able to regain
peace. When we overcome by trusting in the Lord we receive favor. With the help of the Holy Spirit I could easily write down the main focus and conclusion of the two chapters I was studying from the Scriptures. When I attended the Bible study everyday, I wrote down the meaning of the chapters in a simple format of hymns. After this was revised, it was printed as Hymns of Comparative Method of Bible Study. It has been requested by many people who use it as a reference of the Comparative Method of Bible Study. |
