Thanksgiving Letter 2021

December 22, 2021
From all members of Home of Grace for Christ’s Workers

Dear brothers and sisters,

Wishing you and your whole family a thankful and joyous new year and holiday!

Lately, during the online commemorative convention of the 120th anniversary of the birth of John Sung, there were several representatives who made very vivid and powerful speech that deeply moved and impelled us. We seemed to have seen the Lord’s servant with our own eyes. The scene which he grasped thousands of souls in a fiery manner. Even till now, it was still burning, as if calling you and me to get up! Press forward! Get up! Comparing to ourselves, we are so shameful. We can hardly find a place to hide our shame. “Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!”

In the last two years, the epidemic broke out suddenly and spread throughout the globe. Just within two years, the death toll from this sickness mounted to over five million lives. This was due to the stubbornness and unwillingness of the human nature to repent. Therefore, God was enraged. Within this number, those who believed and fell asleep due to the illness were not many. What a pity that thousands of unbelief had lost their opportunity to turn back to the Lord! As such, woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!! Thus, we ought to be zealous to intercede. We ought to fight spiritually to death with the devil. We need to destroy thoroughly the evil schemes of the devil to seize the souls and all sorts of lies and confusion causing man to reject salvation. “They overcame him, by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Rev 12:11)

Since last year we were favored by God to have online ministry in London, Italy and Spain. Indeed, this was a new task for us. Thus, some of our co-workers started to learn how to manage the zoom platform and the monitoring technique. Our co-workers from inside and outside China joined to participate in the three platforms. Thank God, in July our co-workers in Spain gave us their zoom platform as they had another new ministry. Our London platform has sharing of individual chapters. We had also run a session for training of the Bible comparison. Lately in our London platform we have added two groups of three persons to recite the Bible verses before the sharing. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom,” (Col 3:16) We have the sharing of the Bible comparison every day at the platform of Home of Grace. Each Sunday various co-workers will share specific topics. Before each gathering and thereafter, we have an army of prayer warriors to lead the prayer for all nations and all matters. More thankful we have fervent members from various locations to form a worship choir. For this, we sincerely give our wholehearted thanks to God, who has prepared this abundant training and learning opportunity to edify all aspects of our lives, work and life.
This year, two of our directors of North American location resigned due to old age. After prudent prayers, we have invited two pastors, Pastor Chen and Pastor Zhou to join us. In April we had a directors meeting. During the meeting we shared our brief introduction and a summary of our work inside and outside of China. Most thankful, the two couples had moved to live in New Orleans, so that we may enjoy the convenience in liaison and intercession in our ministry at any time.

All other locations of Home of Grace also experienced the fullness of God’s favor. Members from all locations have shown their loving concern for one another.

Now the Lord is coming soon. We ought to cleanse ourselves completely from the ignoble to be an instrument for noble purposes. (2 Ti 2:20-21) This will let the glorious Lord become ‘the treasure’ in our lives to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us! Let us be renewed by the Holy Spirit every day, that we may always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that His life may be revealed in us and others. Hallelujah! Lastly, may we inherit the double portion of the spirit of John Sung! (2 Ki 2:9) Amen!

Wishing each and everyone in this new year: ‘Forget what is behind and strain forward what is ahead, press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Ph 3:13-14) May we sing out the victorious triumphant song to welcome the second coming of Christ!

Immanuel!
