1. A Suggestion of Themes for Intercession
1 Timothy 2:1-4
“I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” (Isaiah 62: 6-7)
- Pray for the redemption of every soul in the world, especially for the Chinese and the elect of Israel.
- Ask God to raise up a multitude of praying warriors to intercede for all peoples. Pray that they will be faithful and watchful, able to discern in the spirit and to demolish every evil scheme used by Satan to deceive and destroy people’s souls and bodies. Pray that as a result, the Word of the Lord will be spread extensively and revival will come upon the whole earth.
- Ask God to destroy every evil power of Satan along with all heresies and false teachings. Pray that we may take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ.
- Ask God to purify His workers and His Church thoroughly and to bring them into complete unity so that they will stand firm in the faith and join together to accomplish the great commission of gospel preaching.
- Ask God to bless the youth and children’s ministry as well as the student on campus ministry..
- Ask God to train a multitude of workers of the times, who seek God’s own heart, exalt the salvation of the cross, uphold God’s will, and are sent by the Holy Spirit to preach the gospel all over the world.
- Ask God to keep His workers pure in terms of faith and ministry so that they will uphold the truth for God to the end and not be led astray by Satan. Ask God to raise up warriors who are capable of defending the truth by oral or written arguments against every heresy and false teaching.
- Ask God to purify and revive every gospel radio station, Internet website, and cassette and written ministry so that their programs will be full of truth, life and power and be able to devour every wicked program
- Ask God to set up locations for His workers to retreat or be trained, so that the workers will retreat to the presence of God, by feeding from the Bible, seeking God’s will, and listening to the Lord’s whisper and filling up with power from above.
10. Ask God to make each of His children thirst for His words and eat up the scroll, so that each of them will be sanctified by the truth, be prepared for famine in the future, and be useful for the Lord.
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18)
