Note of New Year Gratitude – All is Grace
Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His Love endures forever.”
“The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.” (Psalm 118:1, 14)
.
Time flies and soon it will be the end of the year. Recollecting the grace of God, it was countless and beyond description. Though our paths were laid with thorns and thistles and full of challenges; ‘the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’(Romans 9:33) Therefore, our hearts are filled with joy and our tongues are full of praises. According to our physique, we are nothing, weak and feeble, a poor little group. But His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore we will boast all the more gladly about our weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on us. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
.
Like previous years, our co-workers have been striving hard to preach the gospel, encourage believers and strengthen the churches within various Chinese provinces, Eastern and Western Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. In July we had our regular retreat in Warsaw, Poland for our co-workers. Many workers from various parts within and outside China gathered together to be enlightened by the word of God, deeply confessed and experienced the new grace. Facing today with the whole world of sins and arising heresies, we encouraged ourselves and the churches to set apart from them, hold steadfast in the truth, resist against sins and work eagerly: 1) to attain unity for revival, 2) diligently thirst for His word to equip and prepare ourselves ready for the spiritual famine and 3) to save the lost souls and dash to the spiritual battle line regardless. We strongly believe that through the Spirit and the great power of the Cross, we will win over satan, the evil spirit and the false belief.
We have the faith to triumph over the wicked plan of the evil one who has long been destroying the unity and sanctification of the churches. We will reach the target that all churches will be in one heart for a unified purpose to revive the gospel and the mission may be accomplished at an early date.
.
One event worth of deep gratitude was God did a wonderful thing for us in November. Whilst the global economic downturn was spreading over, we were given a very special opportunity through the mercy of the Lord to purchase a suitable townhouse in the suburb of London. This serves as our foundation for our watch place and prayer. Simultaneously this is also our place of retreat for co-workers of Western Europe. On Dec 11 we have sent out two workers to serve there, to pray and pay the price for the revival of Western Europe. All this was the work of God! All was His Glory! We can only prostrate and worship, giving Him all the thanks and praises. At the same time, we must also give our heartfelt thanks to all who have generously helped and prayed in this matter. May the Lord reciprocate them for a double portion of their kindness.
.
“The kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing and forceful men lay hold of it.” (Matthew 11:12)
Dear sisters and brothers, with the coming of the new year, let us exhort each other, hold steadfast in His way, be ever more vigilant, persist in the narrow path, work diligently ahead, love God and love man – only to please Him; that we may share the future joy of abundance. Amen
.
“Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.” (Revelation 22:7)
May you meet the New Year, be revived and rejoice together!
