1. Confess contritely

He was ignorant of his honorable position so that he committed sins carelessly. It is due to God’s mercy that he was revived to repent sorrowfully. He departed from sin completely and broke out to be the firstborn.

2. Contrite and awake

It was futile to be rebellious, tricky, belittled, scared, or lying. But those who are contrite and lowly in spirit will be healed and be comforted.

The enemy plots to harm me. So I cry out earnestly and ask God to come quickly to help me. I confess my iniquity and pursue what is good. The enemy will be repulsed and cannot overcome me.

1. Wickedness and restless

There was neither justice nor righteousness, but partiality, jealousy, complacence, showing off, hatred and impairment. There was no one doing good. Those who are ungodly and wicked are full of misery.

2. Keep the Lord’s promise and serve Him

Those who keep their hands from doing any evil and hold fast to the covenant of the Lord, righteous and just — do not be discouraged. If they carefully keep the Sabbaths, they will be filled with great blessings. But whoever covets and be complacent will have trouble.

Psalm 37 / Revelation 12:7             Do good / God assist

Trust in the Lord and do good; delight oneself in the Lord. God is faithful so wait patiently for Him. The angels are fighting for me in heaven. When time comes, I will see the enemy perish and I will rejoice.

1. Grasp at the world resolutely

Those who set their mind on what sinful nature desires and covet the world, will unite with the world and forsake the grace of the Lord easily. It is worthless to be chiefs and kings of the world, because all will be gone in an instant when one dies.

2. Thirst to obey the word of the Lord

All you who are thirsty, come to the Lord. Give ear to the word of the Lord to get the faithful love promised. If you forsake the wicked way and do good, you will be useful to the Lord. If you thirst to obey the word of the Lord, you will become a light to all nations.

Psalm 36 / Revelation 12:6                      Shelter / The desert

Flee to the desert and take refuge in the Lord’s shadow, so that one will be delivered from sins and the pursuit of the enemy. He who knows the righteousness and kindness of God enjoys the feast. The enemy is prostrated.

Get rid of other gods and do not fear, open your mouth widely and take possession of all the land.

1. Remove the foreign gods

Get rid of the foreign gods and purify yourselves completely, then you will be blessed by God and the terror of God will fall upon the enemy. Though your beloved may part by death, God’s love will never leave you. All your children will be established and possess the promised inheritance.

2. Fear not

You who go through refinement become God’s bride. You will be established in righteousness. Do not be afraid, open your mouth widely, enlarge your territory and possess more and more lands..

Psalm 35 / Revelation 12:5                      Fight / Proclaim

The male child is snatched up to the throne and fighting against the enemy by the spiritual power. O God, do not let the enemy to plot on me. Let us respond His kindness by proclaiming His salvation widely.

The sinful nature and flesh harms people; let us deny ourselves to obey the will of God and save people.

1.  The flesh harms people

The flesh is corrupted and we hurt one another –showing off one’s beauty, coveting vanity, self-esteeming, angry, cunning and deceiving others. He who follows the flesh deceives himself as well as others and hurts himself as well as others.

2. Obey His will to save people

The Lord had no beauty nor did He desire vanity. Surely he took up our infirmities. He suffered silently and poured out His life for us. He sacrificed Himself to obey God’s will to redeem all peoples.

Psalm 34 / Revelation 12:4                      Fear /. Devour

The dragon wants to devour the male child, and many stars have been flung to the earth by it. I will seek God and look to Him at all times. He who fears God and does good will be delivered from the enemy.

1. Meek and humble

Jacob bowed down seven times to his brother, he was all humbled. He gave gifts in sincerity and not in pretense. He politely refused the help from man, and moved along slowly at the pace of the young.

2. Be strong to obey His will

Consecrate yourself and be strong to obey His will. From now on, be a garden that is locked up to the world and preach salvation widely. How can you stop for God will go before you and He is your rear guard.

Psalm 33 / Revelation 12:3                      Trust in God / To triumph over the enemy

Do not be afraid of the big dragon with seven heads and ten horns. Sing joyfully to God and praise Him by faith. God fails the plans of the nations. Fear God and you will triumph over the enemies.

1. Should listen to the Lord’s words

Jacob saw the camp of God and had His promise. However when he saw the environment, he feared and was troubled. He had no peace and was afraid to send a gift. When he wrestled with God for blessings, everything was reversed.

2.     Pray to God by faith

You who pursue righteousness and seek God, should not fear mortal men but put hope in God. You staggered before because you had provoked God to anger. Now return to God and pray to Him, He will do great things for you.

Psalm 32 / Revelation 12:2                      Confession / In pain

Though it is painful when one confesses, his sins will be forgiven and he will bear the fruit of righteousness. Accept God’s counsel and obey His will. One will be delivered from troubles and rejoice in gladness.

1.  Be strong and obey

When the word of the Lord comes, we should obey and march forward bravely with one heart.  Though the enemy pursues, God will deal with them. Let us pay the vow we made and build the temple.

2. Take discipline and follow bravely

God has given me an ear as one being taught. I have not rebelled against His word. I trust and rely on my Lord so I follow His will bravely. Those who light fires by themselves will be in torment.

The woman in labor is clothed with Christ. When she is in distress and terror is on every side, she takes heart and trusts in God. She consistently calls on Him. God gives blessings to those who lean on and honor Him.

Let us remove evil in refinement and pray and wait for Him. By then all nations will return.

1. Refine to remove wickedness

It is of no help but increases worries when God’s children become jealous of each other and compete with each other. It is not until they have been refined to remove the evil and pray to God, then God blesses them abundantly so they may establish their household.

2. Pray and await

It takes a long time to polish and refine before one is useful to the Lord. Then he will restore everywhere and be a light for the Gentiles. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord will not forget you.  He who prays and waits will make all nations return.

How awesome and powerful God’s word, the Ark of tablets, is! Let us exalt His word and pray for healing. When we honor His way and save others, sadness will become joy.

The time has come for reward and judgment. Those who have consecrated themselves will give all the glory to God.

1.  Rebel and suffer

God’s children do not listen to the word of the Lord. They neither seek God nor pray to Him for help. They lean on their own understanding and do as they please. Therefore, they will be rebuked and flogged for their rebellion and stubbornness.

2.   Listen to His command and Obey His will

God’s children take oaths in the name of God, but not in truth or in righteousness. They are treacherous and rebellious, so they need to be refined in affliction. When they obey the commands of the Lord, they will have peace and flourish and receive blessings from Him.

Psalm 29 / Revelation 11: 18                         Self purification / Reward or punishment

The time for reward and punishment is the time when the flood comes. We have sufferings in the world but we have peace in the Lord. Trust in the Lord and He will strengthen us to hold on to the truth. God’s glory is revealed and all goes to God.
