Key Verses Genesis 38:25-26 / Isaiah 57:15
Genesis 38 / Isaiah 57
1. Confess contritely
He was ignorant of his honorable position so that he committed sins carelessly. It is due to God’s mercy that he was revived to repent sorrowfully. He departed from sin completely and broke out to be the firstborn.
2. Contrite and awake
It was futile to be rebellious, tricky, belittled, scared, or lying. But those who are contrite and lowly in spirit will be healed and be comforted.
Psalm 38 / Revelation 12:8 Confess / The enemy withdraw
The enemy plots to harm me. So I cry out earnestly and ask God to come quickly to help me. I confess my iniquity and pursue what is good. The enemy will be repulsed and cannot overcome me.
